Course Overview
This one day, instructor led Wellness and Life Balance course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to achieve and maintain a healthy work-life balance. By exploring practical strategies, tools, and employer resources, this course empowers working professionals to enhance their productivity, improve mental and physical health, and create a more fulfilling personal and professional life. Modules are designed to address the signs of imbalance, provide actionable time management and goal-setting strategies, and discuss stress management techniques, both in the workplace and at home. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the benefits of a healthy work-life balance, including improved productivity, morale, and overall health.
- Identify common signs of imbalance, such as burnout, stress, absenteeism, and associated health risks.
- Leverage employer-provided resources like flexible schedules, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and reward systems.
- Apply effective time management techniques, including the urgent/important matrix, saying no, and the 80/20 rule.
- Set and achieve meaningful goals using strategies like SMART goals, visualization, and prioritization.
- Explore and adopt flexible work arrangements such as telecommuting, job sharing, and job redesign.
- Develop stress management strategies, including regular exercise, proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and self-assessment.
- Maintain boundaries to separate work and home stress for improved mental clarity and personal well-being.
- Create and optimize a functional home office environment while managing distractions effectively.
- Build sustainable habits to maintain long-term wellness and life balance.
